LEARN WHY CORELUV EXISTS AND HOW WE STARTED
Coreluv exists to bring the LUV of Jesus to orphans around the world by providing their six basic needs: clean water, proper food, healthcare, education, job skills, and a Christ-centered, loving home.
We do this by partnering with communities around the world and working in impoverished areas to see hope returned to children, families, and communities across nations.
How we got started
Mike and Mandy Reiszner, founders of Coreluv International, have dedicated their lives to ministry. After completing Bible school training in their early twenties, they served as missionaries with an inner-city ministry in Houston’s Fourth Ward. There, they ministered to some of the poorest people in the city. For ten years after, Mike and Mandy served as youth pastors discipling young men and women to pursue a personal and meaningful relationship with Jesus. Mike and Mandy built an exciting and relevant youth ministry while always staying true to biblical principles.
In 2009, God began stirring deep compassion for orphans in Mike’s and Mandy’s hearts, which is when Coreluv International was born. Mike and Mandy immediately began scheduling Christian concerts to raise money for an orphanage in Africa. It surprised many of their friends in 2011 when Mike walked away from a secure position in a vibrant and growing church to follow God’s inner stirring to Defend the Orphan full time.
Since June 2011, Coreluv International has grown from an idea to a nationally recognized non-profit organization that provides life-saving care to orphans around the world. Mike and Mandy are living their dream with their three children, John-Michael, Bethany, and Christian, and will soon be adding Mylove, a Haitian orphan they are adopting.
