Defending the Orphan Around the World

Coreluv exists to Defend the Orphan and the fatherless wherever they are found. While each country and context looks different, the mission remains the same: to provide loving homes, meet essential needs, and introduce children to their Heavenly Father.

In 2025, this mission took shape across Haiti, South Asia, Honduras, and Houston, with challenges, victories, and testimonies of God’s faithfulness.

Special Needs Village Project Update

In 2025, the Special Needs Village in Haiti entered its finishing phase, a major milestone in a vision years in the making. What began as a prayer continues to take shape through faithful partnership, bringing us closer to a safe, dignifying home for children and young adults with special needs.

Throughout the year, meaningful progress was made across the village. Plumbing, interior tile work, and safety features like railings were completed in key areas, including the Family Life Center. This central space is already active, hosting community gatherings and Coreluv church services on Sundays and offering a glimpse of the life and belonging this village will foster.

As construction continues, individual homes are being prepared to provide personalized care for each resident. Young adults like Stamara, Cassandra, Frantzo, Olivier, and others will soon live in spaces designed for their needs, places where they will be known, supported, and consistently loved.

Even as progress has come step by step, God’s faithfulness has remained steady. Each detail completed is building something that will last for generations.

As we look ahead, we continue moving toward opening. For those who will call it home, this will be more than a place to live. It will be a place to belong.

In reflecting on the past year, it was a season filled with challenges and difficult changes, but those hardships did not stop us from serving the children with renewed energy and dedication. Through it all, we witnessed God’s faithfulness and the miracles He allowed us to see — especially as He guided us in saving Sara’s life.

One of the most encouraging things for us has been watching the young adults in our care grow into maturity and step into leadership. Although this year in Haiti has not been easy, we continue to see children grow, heal, and find hope. There is still so much joy — and we see peace growing in their hearts.

Sara Rose: A Rescue That Required Faith

Sara Rose before

Sara Rose came to us weighing just 26 lbs.

Sara Rose after

Sara Rose after several months of consistent nutrition, therapy, and love.

When we first learned about Sara Rose, she was in critical condition.

Abandoned shortly after birth and placed in a struggling orphanage, she had spent three years without consistent nutrition or medical care. By the time she was brought to us, she was severely malnourished — fragile, silent, and fighting to survive.

She came into Coreluv’s care in November 2025, and within days, she was admitted to the hospital with severe anemia. A blood transfusion was urgently needed. In Haiti, with limited medical resources, our team moved quickly — praying, advocating, and working tirelessly to obtain what she needed.

God provided.

The transfusions were secured. Medical care began. Our mamas held her through the night. Nurses monitored her closely. Nutrition was carefully restored. And slowly, strength returned.

Sara Rose gained 13 pounds in her first month of care.

When Sara Rose came into our care, she was fighting simply to survive. Today, she is surrounded by love, stability, and hope.

Her body began to respond. She smiled. She found her voice. She began engaging with the caregivers who now know her story and call her by name.

What began as emergency intervention has become steady healing.

Today, Sara Rose is stable and progressing day by day — receiving therapy, dependable nutrition, and constant love spoken over her in Jesus’ name. For the first time in her life, she is surrounded by people committed to her future.

Soon, she will move into her forever home at Coreluv’s Special Needs Village in Haiti — a place intentionally designed for children with complex needs. A place built not just for safety, but for dignity and belonging.

Sara Rose’s story is a testimony of what faithful partnership makes possible.

When God’s people show up consistently, rescue turns into restoration — and hope becomes home.

Faithful care requires faithful partners.

Rosemanie: A Story Only God Could Write

Rosemanie
Rosemanie Teaching Young Kids at Coreluv Myan Children's Village in Haiti

Years ago, Rosemanie was a child in need of care. Today, she serves as Assistant Director at the Myan Children’s Village — walking alongside the very children she once stood among. Her life is a powerful picture of what long-term, faithful investment can produce.

Because someone chose to give consistently, Rosemanie experienced stability, discipleship, and hope. Now, she pours that same love into the next generation.

“When I was younger, I was one of the children cared for by Coreluv. Today, I serve as Assistant Director at the Myan Children’s Village,” said Rosemanie. “The love and stability I received shaped who I am, and now I have the privilege of offering that same care to the children we serve. I am grateful to be part of the team that once invested in me and continues to invest in the next generation.”

“The love and stability I received shaped who I am, and now I have the privilege of offering that same care to the children we serve.”

Her story stands as living evidence that when we Defend the Orphan, the impact extends far beyond a single moment.

We are deeply thankful for the continued partnership that sustains this work in South Asia. In a region where following Jesus often comes with cost, consistent care matters more than ever. For the children we serve, this may be the only meal they will eat each day.

Through the faithful presence of our staff and teachers, children receive nourishment, encouragement, and the message of hope found in Christ. We see small victories every day as the gospel advances, and we are grateful to stand together in this work.

Building for Generations

In Honduras, 2025 marked meaningful progress toward long-term, sustainable care. Through faithful giving and prayer, foundational work continued on spaces designed to serve children for generations to come.

Cedros Children’s Village: The Work Begins

In 2025, the vision for Cedros Children’s Village began to take visible shape.

With the land secured and plans in place, early construction began, transforming open ground into the first signs of what’s being built. This phase is quiet but essential, preparing the way for homes that will provide stability, care, and family for children in Honduras.

Local laborers have been part of this work from the beginning, helping build something that will serve both children and the surrounding community. Each step forward reflects more than progress. It represents investment into people and the future of this region.

In early 2026, the foundation began to form and the first structures started to emerge — evidence that the groundwork laid in 2025 is becoming visible.

For the children who will one day live here, this will be more than a place to stay. It will be a place to belong, grow, and experience the LUV of Jesus.

2025 marked a defining year for Coreluv in Honduras. After years of prayer, preparation, and perseverance, we were officially established and entrusted with the land for Cedros Children’s Village, and we broke ground on the first homes now taking shape!

We have laid a strong foundation, and we are just beginning to build what will serve children for generations to come. What once lived in vision is now becoming reality, and we move forward with confidence, gratitude, and hope for all that is ahead.

Christmas in the Third Ward Community

This Christmas, Coreluv served families in the Third Ward of inner-city Houston through the Cuney Christmas Party, an outreach rooted in presence, relationship, and the LUV of Jesus.

With the help of nearly 50 volunteers, gifts were shopped for, wrapped, and placed into the hands of 138 children living in the Cuney Homes community. Families gathered for an evening of games, music, and treats—simple moments that opened the door for meaningful connection.

At the center of it all, the gospel was shared with over 50 families. This was more than a one-time event. It reflects an ongoing commitment to show up consistently, build trust, and make the love of Jesus known in a real and personal way.

We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who gave their time and energy to serve. Because of their faithfulness, children were reminded they are seen and loved — and families encountered the LUV of Jesus right here in our city.
