Coreluv’s Special Needs Village in Haiti
At Coreluv, we are bringing the LUV of Jesus to orphans around the world, including those with special needs. In Haiti, where access to specialized care is limited, orphaned children and young adults with special needs are particularly vulnerable. Many of these precious individuals have been orphaned or abandoned due to their disabilities, leaving them without the support and care they desperately need. Due to the voodoo influence, many of these children are also viewed as cursed.
That’s why we are creating the Special Needs Village, a place where young adults with special needs will receive holistic, Christ-centered care. This project, born out of a deep conviction to Defend the Orphan, is more than just a building—it is a sanctuary where these individuals will experience the love, security, and dignity they deserve.
The Vision Behind the Special Needs Village
The Special Needs Village is a unique and transformative project that will serve some of the most vulnerable children in Haiti. The vision for this village is to create a lifelong home where individuals with special needs can flourish. Our goal is to provide them with a safe, loving environment that meets their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
This village will offer:
- Loving homes designed specifically for those with varying levels of special needs, ensuring a comfortable, supportive living environment.
- Personalized care provided by trained staff, ensuring each individual receives the attention and support they need to thrive.
- Holistic education and vocational training to equip each young adult with life skills and meaningful activities tailored to their abilities.
- A Family Life Center where residents can gather for worship, play, and community activities, fostering a sense of belonging and connection. This will also be a place where the community can gather for conferences, events, and community building.
The Special Needs Village will be a place where orphans with special needs experience the LUV of Jesus every day. We envision a space where these children will grow into adulthood knowing they are seen, valued, and loved—by God and by the community around them.
Latest Progress on the Special Needs Village
Despite the many challenges we’ve faced in Haiti, including difficulty obtaining supplies from Port-au-Prince, we are grateful to report that progress on the Special Needs Village continues to move forward, step by step. Thanks to the prayers and support of our faithful partners, we’ve reached several exciting milestones:
- Homes Exterior Priming Complete: We have primed the majority of the homes’ exteriors, preparing them for the final coats of paint that will soon bring the village to life.
- Family Life Center Finished: The interior of the Family Life Center is fully complete! This large, versatile space is already being used for worship services, prayer meetings, and community activities, bringing joy to our children and young adults.
- Painting Underway: We’ve officially begun painting both the interiors and exteriors of the homes. Every brushstroke is a reminder of the progress we’re making toward creating a welcoming, Christ-centered environment for those who will call this village home.
While the official opening is fast approaching, we are already seeing the village’s impact on our children. Recently, we gathered under the shaded pavilion of the Family Life Center for a Sunday church service. It was a beautiful moment filled with laughter, prayer, and praise—a glimpse of what’s to come when the village is fully operational.

As we approach the final stages of construction, there’s still work to be done. To make the Special Needs Village ready for those who will call it home, we need to furnish each home. Additionally, we are raising funds to cover the ongoing care and support these young adults will need once they move in.
