Meet Rosa, a very gentle and quiet spirit!
Jul 10, 2017

Rosa came to Dorothy Pearce’s Orphanage, Faith Hope Love Infant Rescue, on July 24, 2009, when she was 4 years old. Miss Dorothy is an American missionary who lived in Haiti for 9 years. When Coreluv stepped foot in Haiti in June of 2011, the children from Miss Dorothy’s orphanage in Port-au-Prince were the first children we came to know and love. In June 2015, many of the children from Miss Dorothy’s orphanage transitioned to The Myan Children’s Village. Faith Hope Love Infant Rescue and Coreluv merged and we added precious children like Rosa to our family in Myan, Haiti.

Both of Rosa’s parents passed away from aids, leaving her with HIV and tuberculosis. Rosa’s uncle brought her to Miss Dorothy’s orphanage because he did not have enough time or resources to provide for her. Upon discovering that there was NO ONE who could properly provide for Rosa, she was put into the care of Miss Dorothy. There was no question that she needed to be placed in a home where she could be loved and cared for as every child should be.

When she arrived at Miss Dorothy’s, she was immediately taken to a hospital in Port-au-Prince where Rosa was put on a treatment for tuberculosis and then treated for HIV.

We are thankful that Miss Dorothy said yes to Rosa and that today she continues to receive the proper love and medical care she deserves at Coreluv Children’s Village | Myan. Rosa carries a very gentle and quiet spirit. She loves to learn and enjoys singing and dancing with the other girls. We know that God will use Rosa mightily to bring honor to His name. Rosa’s gentle and quiet spirit is a gift and we are excited to see how God uses her in Haiti!
