Myan Children’s Village
Coreluv learned of this impoverished community through a relationship with a local pastor who knew there were orphaned children in need. During a trip in 2012 with a team of college students, Coreluv was given 12 beautiful acres of land. The students broke into worship as we began to dream about what God wanted to do within the community of Myan.
In 2013, construction of the orphanage was completed, and Coreluv began making preparations to receive children. The doors officially opened with 14 children. That led to what is today the Myan Children’s Village, which includes a loving home for 69 children, a school educating over 350 students in grades Pre-K through 9, and a health center providing healthcare to our children and the surrounding areas.
The children’s village also provides local jobs, employing 90 Haitian staff. God has done amazing things in a short time! Our faithful Defenders provide our children with their six basic needs, with room to house up to 80 children. Will you consider becoming a Defender to help provide our children’s six basic needs and help transform the Myan community?
